Job Description

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static)

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Single-Point Responsibility: Serve as the single point of responsibility for all mechanical equipment engineering (static equipment) design deliverables, ensuring adherence to applicable engineering codes, standards, and client policies.

2. Technical Expertise: Possess specialist knowledge of major mechanical equipment types and thorough familiarity with relevant international codes and standards in the Oil and Gas industry. Offshore experience is mandatory, with ADNOC experience desired.

3. Project Planning and Execution: Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of discipline activities and deliverables, including manhour estimating, bid/tendering, and subcontractor management.

4. Progress Monitoring: Identify areas of concern regarding progress or quality and recommend corrective actions as required. Attend internal and external progress meetings, generating status reports for Engineering/Project Managers.

5. Team Management: Ensure competency assessment and maintenance of the team in line with company and client requirements. Define minimum acceptance criteria and undertake pre-qualification of third parties.

6. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with licensors, equipment vendors, OEMs, and subcontractors to conclude project deliverables, define scopes of work, and review vendor documents.

7. Technical Support: Provide technical support to the site, including material inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Provide guidance on technical queries and participate in project safety and design reviews as necessary.

8. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with management of change processes, both technical and financial, and deliver all work without compromise to quality and within the project schedule.

9. Risk Management: Take ownership of risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and closeout for the respective discipline.

10. Continuous Improvement: Promote smarter ways of working and champion continuous improvement within the department. Share lessons learned and encourage a culture of safety at all times.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with at least 3 years in a similar role, preferably in the UAE or Middle East.
- Specialist knowledge of major mechanical equipment types and familiarity with relevant international codes and standards.
- Offshore experience is mandatory, with ADNOC experience desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
