Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Manager

Job Purpose:

The Accounts Manager is responsible for generating sales leads and securing orders to meet assigned sales targets. This role involves managing both individual and team performance in sales, primarily focusing on business activities and industries related to waste management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Generation:
- Generate sales leads and achieve sales targets within the assigned period from both existing and potential clients.
- Develop sales strategies in line with the company’s ethical standards and overall strategy.

2. Client Relationship Management:
- Conduct cold calls, visit clients, and maintain strong business relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Provide support, guidance, and information to clients while recommending waste management solutions and service improvements.

3. Sales Process Management:
- Handle sales inquiries, conduct site visits if necessary, prepare and finalize sales proposals after managerial approval.
- Independently target and manage high-value projects and lead the sales team.

4. Contract Management:
- Prepare and finalize sales contracts, ensuring timely approvals before passing them to Operations for project execution.
- Track and renew sales contracts to avoid service disruptions.

5. Issue Resolution & Support:
- Track, record, and manage project issues and complaints, escalating as necessary.
- Support invoicing, credit control, and operations departments in handling documentation and payment issues.

6. Market Monitoring:
- Monitor market conditions and competitor activity, providing feedback to management.
- Attend management and cross-functional meetings, executing action plans as needed.

7. Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide the sales team, including onboarding new team members.
- Prepare required monthly and other MIS reports as assigned.

8. Professional Development:
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning, attending workshops, training, and reviewing industry publications.

9. Compliance & Ethics:
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, UAE laws, and company procedures.
- Report any violations that could affect health, safety, environment, ethics, or company reputation.

10. Additional Duties:
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the company based on business requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Sales or Marketing from an accredited university.
- Professional Certification: HSE or waste management-related certification preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the waste management industry.
- Skills:
- Strong selling, negotiation, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial awareness and client relationship management.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and Internet.
- Personal Characteristics:
- Team player, honest, self-confident, disciplined, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Other Requirements:
- Must have a UAE driving license for a light vehicle.

Working Conditions:

- Independence: Must work independently and travel extensively, with 70% of time spent visiting customers and sites in the UAE.
- Extended Hours: May need to work extended hours based on business needs.
- Exposure: Possible exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and hazardous substances, requiring necessary precautions.

Physical Requirements:

- Dress Code: Expected to dress professionally as per company standards.
- Health: Must be physically fit, in good health, and possess good vision.
