Position Title: Contracts Manager

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Reviewing contracts with the client.
Reviewing tenders and contract documentation for individual packages.
Coordinating and liaising to address all correspondence related to contractual issues.
Meeting and liaising with the Contractor/Consultant to resolve contractual issues.
Drafting correspondence on behalf of PD (Project Director).
Reviewing requests for change and making recommendations to the client.
Drafting and issuing instructions to implement client-requested requirements.
Reviewing all claims for entitlement and issuing recommendations to the client.
Advising cost engineer/consultant on payment applications.
Making recommendations to the client regarding payments.
Attendance and participation in monthly progress meetings.
Scheduling contract, commercial, and claim meetings/workshops.
Chairing contract, commercial, and claim meetings.
Preparing and issuing meeting minutes.
Chairing workshops.
Creating a tracking log for variations, claims, etc.
Documenting and tracking late or non-performance of the contractor/consultant.
Making determinations.
Reviewing contract requirements for testing and commissioning.
Handling other requests from the Project Director.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Degree in construction or legal-related discipline or similar.
Minimum 15 years of experience in handling and managing claims and disputes on major infrastructure projects (consideration with less than 15 years' experience if significant).
Professional accreditation and membership in industry-leading and internationally recognized institute(s).
Extensive experience working with the FIDIC suite of contracts.
Wide-ranging experience in roles and positions within the construction industry, including roles with clients and contractors/subcontractors.
