Job Description
Job Title: Commis - Salad Chef
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commis - Salad Chef to join our culinary team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will assist the Chef de Partie in preparing a variety of salads and basic dishes, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ingredient Preparation: Accurately measure and prepare meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie, including seasoning meats, and washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
- Salad & Sauce Preparation: Prepare basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chef de Partie.
- Receiving & Verifying Deliveries: Receive and verify deliveries, ensuring that all ordered items are delivered and meet quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Take inventory of restaurant supplies and notify the supervisor of any low or depleted stock.
- Food Safety: Discard expired or spoiled food items from stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Cleaning & Sanitization: Perform basic cleaning duties and ensure that workstations are properly sanitized.
- Plating & Presentation: Plate and present meal items according to the Chef de Partie's instructions, maintaining high presentation standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role within the culinary industry is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
