Job Title: Financial Officer

Overview:
The Financial Officer at the College of IT, UAE University, is responsible for managing and overseeing all financial aspects of the college. This includes processing transactions, managing budgets, handling procurement, and ensuring compliance with university financial policies. The role requires close collaboration with the university’s financial department and involves supporting the college's academic and research missions through effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Processing:
- Handle all college purchase requests, contracts, travel requests, and lab equipment purchasing and receiving.
- Manage compensations, petty cash requests, and other financial transactions.

2. Budget and Procurement Management:
- Prepare and manage the annual college procurement plan, including budgeting and inventory control.
- Ensure proper allocation and utilization of the college's financial resources.

3. Research and Academic Support:
- Process financial transactions related to scientific research, postgraduate studies, and student funding.
- Handle financial matters for research assistants and ensure timely processing of related expenses.

4. University Liaison:
- Communicate and coordinate with the university's financial department to ensure alignment with institutional policies.
- Initiate and process all financial transactions through the university’s financial system.

5. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Provide regular financial reports to the College Dean, highlighting budget status and financial health.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with university regulations and financial policies.

6. Additional Duties:
- Perform any other financial-related tasks as requested by the College Dean.
- Support other administrative functions related to finance within the college as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience within the UAE educational and financial sector.
- Familiarity with university financial systems and procedures.
