Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse & Logistics Stock Handler
As a Warehouse & Logistics Stock Handler, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, labeling, handling, and storage of materials to ensure efficient warehouse operations. Your role is crucial in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory while adhering to safety and procedural standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Material Receipts and Inspection:
- Arrange and oversee the off-loading of delivery vehicles.
- Receive and preserve all inspection documents.
- Conduct standard receipt inspections, noting any deviations.
- Assist in initiating discrepancy reports with warehouse operations staff.
- Verify, maintain, and track receipt documentation and certificates.
- Inspect items for administrative compliance with Purchase Orders/Task Orders, part numbers, quantities, shipping damage, and supplier documentation.
2. Material Labeling:
- Ensure proper labeling of items post-inspection.
- Correlate items with their labels and generate labels if required.
- Verify the accuracy of label contents.
- Ensure materials received conform to Purchase Order/Task Order requirements.
- Preserve materials as per requirements.
3. Material Handling & Storage:
- Physically capable of lifting up to 15-20 kgs if necessary.
- Maintain spares in good condition and ensure materials are appropriately packed/sealed.
- Store materials according to classification and requirements.
- Monitor and ensure materials are free from foreign materials to prevent contamination.
- Consolidate and store OSPs in appropriate bins/racks.
4. Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle objects up to 15 kgs frequently, and up to 20 kgs occasionally.
- Perform kneeling, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, climbing, and walking for most of the shift.
- Ability to distinguish colors, perceive sound, and communicate issues verbally and in writing in English.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Skills and Attributes:
- Positive attitude, pleasant personality, effective memory skills, good hand-eye coordination, dependability, ability to follow directions, and strong willingness to learn.
- Experience with inventory and warehouse management systems (SAP preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to use hand tools and ladders safely.
- Good English communication skills (verbal and written), with IELTS proficiency at least level 4 or 5.
- Experience handling dangerous goods.
- Knowledge of labeling spare parts in major industrial organizations.
- Qualifications:
- GCSE "O" level or equivalent qualification.
- 5-8 years of practical experience in material handling in a major industrial organization.
- Forklift license (advantageous).
- Experience with reach trucks, stackers, pallet jacks, etc.
- Working knowledge in SAP MM/WM Module is preferable.
