Job Title: Assistant Banquets Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant Banquets Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of banquet and event services at Four Seasons. This position involves overseeing and coordinating banquet operations, working closely with the Banquets Manager, and leading a team to deliver exceptional service. The Assistant Banquets Manager will ensure that all events are executed seamlessly, meeting the high standards of Four Seasons and exceeding guest expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management
- Assist the Banquets Manager in overseeing all aspects of banquet and event operations, including setup, execution, and teardown.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the seamless execution of events and banquets.
- Manage and supervise banquet staff, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality service.
- Ensure that all banquet areas are clean, well-organized, and maintained to Four Seasons standards.

2. Guest Experience
- Work with guests to plan and execute their events, ensuring all their requirements and preferences are met.
- Address and resolve any guest issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure that all guests have an exceptional experience.

3. Event Planning and Coordination
- Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including menu selection, room setup, and audio-visual requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Conduct pre-event briefings with staff and ensure that all details are accurately communicated and executed.

4. Financial Management
- Monitor and manage banquet budgets, including labor costs, inventory, and other expenses.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Process and manage invoices, payments, and other financial transactions related to banquets and events.

5. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and motivate the banquet team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of banquet staff.

6. Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe and clean working environment.

7. Administrative Duties
- Assist in the preparation of event contracts, BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), and other related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of events, including guest preferences and feedback.

Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a banquet or event management role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in MS Office and banquet management software.
- Personal Attributes: Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional guest service, with a passion for creating memorable experiences. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the banquet area for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
