Job Description: Business Intelligence and Data Specialist (English Speaker)

Job Summary:

Our client in the Government sector in Qatar is seeking a Business Intelligence and Data Specialist with proficiency in English. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and production support of business intelligence reports, dashboards, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs. This role involves maintaining data models, creating data pipelines, and utilizing reporting and visualization tools to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and support business intelligence reports, dashboards, and ETL jobs.

Maintain, update, enhance, and modify data models as per business needs.

Create data pipelines, perform source-to-target data mapping, and execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) jobs using tools like MS SSIS.

Utilize reporting and visualization tools such as MS SSRS, MS Power BI, and Qlik to generate reports and dashboards based on business requirements.

Investigate and resolve technical issues related to reports, dashboards, and ETL jobs through debugging and root cause analysis.

Skills:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI or Microsoft SSRS.

Proficiency in implementing ETL solutions using Microsoft SSIS or Azure Data Factory.

Strong experience in extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources, including RDBMS, flat files, XML, and Excel.

Demonstrated SQL programming expertise.

Experience with at least one of the following tools or technologies is preferred:

Azure Data Services (Synapse, Azure SQL DB, Data Factory, Databricks)

Hadoop, Spark, and streaming analytics.
