As a Floor Supervisor in our autoservice department, you will play a critical role in overseeing the efficient operation of vehicle servicing and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Job Allocation: Allocate job cards to various bays and monitor the progress of work being done.

2. Communication: Communicate the estimated time required to complete tasks to the service advisor and ensure clear communication channels between technicians and service advisors.

3. Parts Management: Ensure the sourcing of all necessary parts, spares, and consumables required to complete the work, and offer technical inputs to technicians as needed.

4. Schedule Adherence: Monitor schedule adherence and take corrective actions in case of time overruns. Communicate any delays or cost overruns to the service advisor promptly.

5. Quality Control: Manage the quality of work done on multiple bays simultaneously, ensuring that all work meets quality standards and customer expectations.

6. Technician Support: Provide technical support and guidance to technicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks efficiently.

7. Customer Interaction: Exhibit strong technical understanding of vehicles when interacting with customers, addressing their concerns or complaints effectively.

8. Vehicle Inspection: Conduct checks on vehicles in the PDI area to ensure all jobs mentioned in the job card have been completed to quality guidelines. Address any discrepancies and reschedule service as necessary.

9. Complaint Resolution: Assist in complaint resolution as guided by the CRM/CRE, taking necessary action plans to improve customer satisfaction.

10. Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor technicians, ensuring their training needs are met, and conduct regular service drills to enhance team performance.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in automotive service management or a similar role preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of vehicles and automotive systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
