IT Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to independently oversee our IT department. The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of IT skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to take on a leadership position within our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform on-site and remote technical support for hardware and software issues.

2. Organize and maintain an inventory of hardware and software resources, including accurate records of equipment and licenses.

3. Maintain excellent communication with the IT Department, providing regular updates and seeking assistance when necessary.

4. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.

5. Assist in planning, designing, documenting, and implementing various systems, including laptops, servers, network equipment, and software applications.

6. Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures for server backups to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.

7. Monitor, plan, and coordinate the distribution of server software and service packs to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.

8. Make recommendations for new equipment and services, conduct research, and work with vendors for procurement.

9. Provide emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule to address critical issues outside of regular business hours.

10. Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects, including updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.

11. Manage and report on the allocation of the IT budget, ensuring resources are used effectively and aligned with business objectives.

12. Provide direction for IT team members, assign tasks, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

13. Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement to enhance IT department capabilities.

14. Run regular network and data security checks to identify and address vulnerabilities or potential threats.

15. Identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems, enhancing efficiency and productivity.

16. Develop and implement IT policies and best practice guides to ensure compliance and security.

17. Design training programs and workshops for staff to promote IT literacy and effective technology use.

18. Conduct regular system audits to assess performance, security, and compliance with standards.

19. Share regular operational system reports with senior staff to provide insights into IT performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

2. Proven experience working as an IT Manager or similar role.

3. Strong understanding of hardware and software systems, including servers, networking, operating systems, and productivity software.

4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

5. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.

6. Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

7. Willingness to travel occasionally, if required.

8. Eligible to work in Dubai, UAE.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or CISSP.

2. Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

3. Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
