Job Description
Job Title: Policy Manager (6 Months)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Research & Analysis: Investigate and analyze existing policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Policy Drafting: Draft new policies and guides that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Clarity & Accessibility: Ensure policies are clear, concise, and easily understandable by all stakeholders.
- Policy Review: Regularly review existing policies to ensure they are current and relevant.
- Updates & Feedback: Update policies and guides based on feedback, changes in regulations, or organizational needs.
- Review Schedule: Maintain a schedule for periodic policy reviews and updates.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and feedback on policies.
- Facilitation: Facilitate meetings and discussions to address concerns and incorporate suggestions.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure policies comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop policies to mitigate them.
- Legal Coordination: Work with compliance and legal teams to address any regulatory concerns.
- Documentation: Develop comprehensive and accessible policy documents and guides.
- Communication: Ensure policies are communicated effectively to all employees and stakeholders.
- Training Development: Create training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure understanding and adherence to policies.
- Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- Process Improvement: Implement improvements to the policy development process.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in policy development.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in public policy, law, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification in policy development is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in policy development, writing, and analysis.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex information and synthesize it into clear, actionable policies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and build consensus.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills to handle multiple policies and deadlines.
