Job Title:
Management Accountant

Reports to:
Business Unit Finance Manager (BUFM)

Job Focus:
This role focuses primarily on management reporting, financial analysis, and month-end closing activities. The position will involve VAT, IFRS, revenue recognition, incoterms, and ADNOC’s In-Country Valuation (ICV) certification.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing:
Liaise with the Group Accounting Services (GAS) team to ensure the accuracy of financial records and timely preparation of management accounts in compliance with IFRS and accounting standards.

- Dashboard and Financial Analysis:
Assist the BUFM in preparing monthly financial dashboards, including the generation of reports using tools such as Discoverer, Hyperion, SWAN, and Power BI.

- Internal Controls & Auditing:
Support the implementation and review of internal controls, assist with audits, answer queries, and accompany auditors during stock counts.

- Budgeting & Forecasting:
Prepare business and financial plans, maintain budget versions, and provide financial forecasts, including three-month rolling cash flow forecasts.

- Asset Management:
Coordinate asset verification and ensure that financial records reflect accurate asset management, including approvals for additions, disposals, and impairments.

- Tax Compliance:
Ensure the timely submission of VAT returns and other tax-related documents.

- Working Capital Management:
Oversee accounts receivable and payable, track letters of credit, and monitor the correct application of inventory costs.

- Ad-Hoc Financial Support:
Provide support to the BUFM in reviewing purchase orders, managing non-inventory expenses, and preparing CAPEX and investment forms.

Skills & Requirements:

- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in ERP Oracle and MS Office Suite.
- Expertise in reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Hyperion.
- Strong knowledge of VAT, IFRS, and international commercial terms (Incoterms).
- Familiarity with ICV (In-Country Valuation) procedures pertaining to ADNOC.

- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Team player with a high level of professionalism and ethics.

- Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in financial analysis, reporting, and exposure to AP/AR.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas/Oilfield Services industry is highly preferred.

- Academic Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, CMA, or CPA are highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce or Accounting may also be considered depending on experience.
