Job Description

Job Title: HR Director

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Salary: Market related

Our client is a reputable Trading and Distribution company representing numerous brands.

As the HR Director, you will play a pivotal role in our organization. This is a newly established position where you will oversee all human resources activities within our corporate company. Leading a team of HR professionals, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies and programs that are in alignment with our strategic business objectives.

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that are closely aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Lead and manage a team of HR professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services.

Oversee talent acquisition and retention efforts, covering recruitment, selection, onboarding, and offboarding processes. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and attract top talent.

Develop and implement performance management programs to drive employee engagement, productivity, and development. Offer guidance and support to managers in conducting objective performance evaluations.

Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Design and administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentives, and employee wellness initiatives. Stay informed about market trends and ensure competitive compensation packages.

Identify training and development needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies. Support career development and succession planning initiatives.

Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity (EEO), affirmative action, and occupational health and safety (OHS). Proactively address any compliance gaps and conduct internal audits as needed.

Stay current on HR best practices and industry trends.

Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute workforce planning strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.

Skills and Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field.

A minimum of 10 years of experience.

Proven experience as an HR Director or in a similar senior HR leadership role, preferably in a corporate environment.

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations, including EEO, affirmative action, and OHS.

Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team, providing coaching, guidance, and support.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to drive organizational performance.

Experience in talent acquisition and retention, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and training and development.

Proven ability to collaborate and influence senior leadership to drive HR initiatives aligned with business goals and objectives.

Proficiency in HR software applications.
