Job Description
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Job Description: The Quantity Surveyor will undertake various responsibilities related to quantity surveying and cost estimation. These responsibilities include:
Baseline Bill of Quantity Reports: Preparing baseline bills of quantity reports based on engineering drawings.
Data Input and Validation: Converting and validating engineering outputs, and preparing data input files for the ERP system to facilitate costing, revenue, and accounting purposes.
Comparison Reports: Creating comparison reports to contrast initial bills of quantities with actual quantities.
Cost Estimates and Plans: Preparing preliminary cost estimates and cost plans for pipe shop fabrication projects.
Pricing Documents: Generating pricing documents for post-award changes, variations, and additional work.
Billing Quantity Identification: Identifying new or additional billing quantities in comparison to existing schedule rates.
Financial Input: Providing input to the finance department for monthly and quarterly revenue recognition.
Subcontractor Support: Preparing bills of quantities and specification documents for subcontract tendering purposes, and negotiating and agreeing on schedule rates.
Variation Orders and Claims: Reviewing requests for variation orders, claims, and back charges.
Invoice Verification: Verifying and validating subcontractor invoices based on interim payments for milestone or progress billing.
Final Settlement: Reconciliation of final settlement bills of quantities for project closure.
Requirements:
Experience: 5 - 7 years in a similar role.
Job Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Education: Bachelor of Technology/Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
