Job Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Utilize the nursing process to provide safe, compassionate, and culturally effective care to pediatric patients.
- Take accountability for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized and comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document the child's condition, interventions, and the effectiveness of care provided.
- Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices.
- Develop, implement, and revise the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the child, family, and interdisciplinary care team.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills to address any issues or changes in the child's medical status promptly.
- Independently initiate escalation of care issues utilizing the healthcare team and chain of command.
- Identify areas for improvement in patient care and minimize risks by incorporating evidence-based practices.
- Assess, plan, provide, and evaluate the educational needs of patients and their families.
- Integrate patient safety and transformational leadership principles into clinical nursing care.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Skills:
- Essential Education: Bachelor's degree in Pediatric or Child Health Nursing OR a Bachelor's degree in Nursing of at least three (3) years duration.
- Desirable Education: Post Graduate Training qualification in Pediatric Nursing of at least one (1) year duration. Post Graduate Certificate in specialty if applicable.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years clinical nursing experience in an Acute Pediatric hospital dealing with complex care patients.
- Certification and Licensure: Valid and current professional Nursing license from country of origin. Ability to qualify for UAE and DHA nursing licensure requirements. American Heart Association Basic Life Support training. PALS and/or Neonatal Life Support depending on your home unit.
- Job Specific Skills and Abilities: Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Positive, enthusiastic, and motivated individual. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to speak and write English is required. Arabic language skills (spoken) are an asset.
