Job Description

Job Title: Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Adhere strictly to all patient safety protocols and standards of care to ensure the well-being of patients.
- Provide empathetic emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, particularly during challenging times.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology practices to deliver optimal care.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care, ensuring medical records are up-to-date.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Perform thorough gynecological exams and educate patients on women's health issues, promoting informed decision-making.
- Assist during deliveries and provide essential support to new mothers and babies, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assess and monitor pregnant women throughout their prenatal, labor, and postpartum periods, intervening as necessary.
- Provide direct patient care across various obstetrics and gynecology settings, ensuring excellence in service delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is a must.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working specifically in OBGYN nursing.
- Hold a valid RN license and certification in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Display empathy and compassion towards patients and their families, fostering a supportive environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking abilities to manage diverse patient needs efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate physical stamina to handle the demands of long shifts and patient care.
- Proficient in medical technology and electronic health records systems.
- Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in additional languages considered advantageous.
