Teacher - Mathematics

Job Title: Teacher - Key Stage 2 and 3 Mathematics

Roles & Responsibilities:

A. Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with all members of the school community.
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Work flexibly and professionally with colleagues and curriculum support staff.
- Act as a form tutor and provide pastoral support to students.

B. Teaching and Learning:
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the British curriculum for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 Mathematics.
- Organize classroom resources and create an engaging learning environment.
- Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods.
- Assess student progress in accordance with school assessment policies.
- Reflect on classroom provision and adjust planning and curriculum accordingly.
- Embed the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA throughout the curriculum.

C. Assessment and Data:
- Take responsibility for monitoring the progress of classes taught.
- Meet assessment and recording requirements using the school's designated system.
- Utilize assessment data to inform planning, provision, and intervention strategies.
- Provide feedback to parents on student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

D. Behaviour Management and Duties:
- Follow the school's Behaviour Policy and manage classes effectively.
- Maintain positive relationships with students and uphold high expectations of behavior.
- Serve as a positive role model and promote positive attitudes, values, and behavior.
- Carry out assigned duties in accordance with school policies.

E. Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with department colleagues to support planning, assessment, and resources.
- Participate in school events, outings, and activities, including extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student achievements and well-being.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school community.
- Run a weekly Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA).

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related subject with PGCE or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the English National Curriculum, with Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 experience.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Proven success as an outstanding teacher.
- Experience of working in more than one International School is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to the school's vision and mission.
