Applications Support Analyst

Job Title: Application Support Analyst

Responsibilities:

1. System Analysis and Recommendations:

- Conduct a detailed study of the existing system.

- Recommend installation or upgrade of new systems.

- Correct errors and modify existing software.

2. System Upgrade and Maintenance:

- Upgrade interfaces by updating hardware for better performance.

- Interact with clients, solve technical issues, and provide project status updates.

- Prepare and maintain reports for each project handled.

3. Software Installation and Training:

- Install various software systems.

- Provide training to users on upgraded systems.

- Provide direction during software programming and document development.

4. Project Collaboration:

- Confer with project managers on data processing issues.

- Use scientific analysis and mathematical models for system designs.

- Monitor equipment functioning to ensure system operation as per specifications.

5. Supervision and Control:

- Supervise technologists, technicians, and scientific personnel.

- Develop and implement control algorithms using microcontrollers.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or related field.

- Professional experience in application support in a Financial Institution.

- ITIL certification is a plus.

- Good understanding of root/cause analysis, impact analysis, and unit testing."
