Job Opportunity: Systems Administrator



Role Overview:
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining various technical products and systems, ensuring the secure and error-free availability and performance of operating systems for banking applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical and analytical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to providing outstanding service.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage enterprise solutions, including Microsoft operating systems, virtualization with Hyper-V and VMWARE, private cloud, VDI, partitioning, and shared pools.
2. Oversee Microsoft management tools, Blades, Intel Servers, firmware, and Windows updating/patching. Implement backup and recovery disaster recovery (DR) processes.
3. Lead and implement infrastructure projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and completion.
4. Monitor and tune infrastructure systems to ensure secure, error-free availability and performance of operating systems for banking applications. Create and execute backups in accordance with disaster recovery plans.
5. Provide technical support to internal departments for system availability and security. Respond to third-level escalations and offer support for infrastructure-related issues.
6. Support application servers by installing and upgrading software, creating job schedules, maintaining directories, assisting with application tuning, and following change control.
7. Ensure server security by implementing security measures and designs to protect individual server hosts from unauthorized access.
8. Install new/rebuild existing servers, configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
9. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Review system and application logs and perform regular file archival and purge.
10. Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly, upgrade administrative tools and utilities, and configure/add new services as necessary.
11. Provide technical design, hardware, and labor estimates to support projects.
12. Research and evaluate new technologies and software products, assisting in the formulation and execution of test plans for proof of concepts.
13. Manage all servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software.
14. Support capacity planning and development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in collaboration with end-users and department managers.
15. Set up and support Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) situations.
16. Responsible for modifying existing group policies, applying bank policies and security standards for all systems used in the bank.
17. Apply PCI standards and controls for bank IT infrastructure, including communication devices, servers, and applications. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing remediation to avoid security breaches.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise solutions, Microsoft operating systems, virtualization, and security measures.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
