Job Description:

We are seeking a competent and experienced Camp Boss to oversee our labour camp facilities in Jebel Ali, Dubai. Fluency in Hindi and English is essential for effective communication with our diverse workforce.

Responsibilities:

  1. Camp Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the labour camp, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and adherence to company policies and regulations.

  2. Accommodation Maintenance: Oversee maintenance activities within the camp premises, including repairs, cleaning, and landscaping, to ensure a comfortable living environment for residents.

  3. Manpower Handling: Coordinate with the HR department to oversee the accommodation allocation process, including room assignments and occupancy tracking. Handle employee grievances related to accommodation and facilitate solutions in a timely manner.

  4. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of camp facilities, inventory, and expenditures. Prepare reports as required by management and assist in budget planning for camp-related expenses.

  5. Security and Safety: Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard camp residents and property. Conduct regular safety inspections and drills to ensure compliance with safety standards and emergency procedures.

  6. Supervision: Supervise camp staff, including cleaners, maintenance workers, and security personnel, to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.

  2. Hands-on experience with computer skills, including MS Office applications.

  3. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a labour camp environment.

  4. Fluent in Hindi and English, with excellent communication skills.

  5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle employee concerns with empathy and discretion.

  6. Knowledge of South Indian culture and familiarity with the needs of workers from Kerala preferred.

  7. Proven ability to manage manpower effectively and resolve conflicts in a multicultural setting.
