Job Title: IT Systems Administrator

Role Overview:
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and servers within the company's IT infrastructure. They are tasked with installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software components, as well as providing technical support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components.
2. Provide technical support for branch offices and sister companies, both onsite and remotely.
3. Manage servers, including NAS file servers, email/exchange servers, and other applications.
4. Oversee VMware virtualization infrastructure and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
5. Monitor system performance, conduct maintenance tasks, and perform upgrades, patches, and updates.
6. Manage local implementation projects, testing of applications, and hardware upgrades.
7. Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions, as well as disaster recovery plans.
8. Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
9. Educate users on data security best practices and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
10. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
11. Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
12. Collaborate with other IT team members and liaise with vendors and third-party providers.
13. Update SOPs as needed and ensure compliance with data security standards and best practices.

Skills:
1. Proficiency in VMware/Hyper-V virtual infrastructure.
2. Experience with Windows server 2019/2021, Windows 10, Mac, Linux, etc.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server Administration, Exchange Server, Office 365, and Gsuite Administration.
4. Familiarity with Mimecast email security, web hosting/domain hosting platforms, and Azure cloud infrastructure services.
5. Strong understanding of backup and recovery concepts, networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
6. Experience with backup software solutions such as Veeam, and familiarity with backup storage technologies.
7. Knowledge of network hardware and software, including Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, firewalls, switches, and wireless technologies.
8. Proficiency in Next Generation Antivirus like CrowdStrike, Sentinel One, etc.

Qualifications/Certifications:
1. Master/Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science.
2. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CCNA, VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications preferred.
3. ITIL, Azure/AWS certifications are advantageous.
