Position: Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing specialized care to newborn infants requiring intensive medical attention. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to newborn infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and implementing treatment plans.
- Assess newborns' health status, identify any abnormalities or complications, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to the individual needs of each infant.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Educate parents on neonatal care techniques, including breastfeeding, safe sleep practices, and home care instructions.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for newborns and their families, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting.
- Valid nursing license or certification in the UAE.
- Proficiency in neonatal nursing practices, including respiratory support, thermoregulation, and intravenous therapy.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to respond quickly to emergent situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
