Job Title: Consultant - Decarbonization and Sustainability

WSP Middle East is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic consultant with expertise in decarbonization and sustainability to join our Environment & Sustainability Team. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering top-notch consultancy services in sustainability and decarbonization while contributing to business development and team strategies. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Lead and Oversee Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Assessments:
- Direct and manage comprehensive data collection and analysis related to energy consumption, transportation, waste, etc.
- Calculate GHG emissions using advanced methodologies and tools.
- Identify major emission sources, hotspots, and reduction opportunities.

2. Develop and Implement Greenhouse Gas Management Strategies:
- Collaborate with clients to establish emission reduction targets and strategic objectives.
- Design and recommend measures to reduce GHG emissions.
- Provide expert advice on energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and waste management.

3. Guide Clients in Implementing Emission Reduction Initiatives:
- Offer guidance on adopting energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy sources.
- Manage carbon offset projects and green technology initiatives.

4. Conduct and Supervise Environmental Impact Assessments:
- Evaluate environmental consequences of business activities and propose mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices.

5. Manage Monitoring and Reporting on GHG Emissions:
- Develop monitoring systems to track emissions accurately.
- Prepare periodic reports on emission levels, progress, and compliance status.

6. Lead Training and Awareness Initiatives:
- Conduct training sessions on GHG management and sustainability practices.
- Champion awareness campaigns among staff and stakeholders.

7. Stay Informed of Industry Trends:
- Stay updated on developments in GHG accounting, carbon markets, and climate policies.
- Represent the organization at conferences and workshops.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field.
- 5-7 years of experience in sustainability consulting, with a focus on GHG management.
- Demonstrated leadership in sustainability projects.
- Expert knowledge of GHG protocols and methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and communication skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional certifications in GHG accounting preferred.
