Position: Waiter/Waitress

Job Purpose:
Waiters or Waitresses are crucial team members responsible for taking orders and delivering exceptional service by serving food and beverages to guests. Their primary role is to ensure guest satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly, and maintaining a positive dining experience.

Key Result Areas:
- Check with customers to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any issues.
- Collect payments from customers.
- Take attentive food orders, either in writing, memorization, or through computer systems for kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages, including specialty dishes, at tables.
- Present menus, answer customer questions, and make recommendations.
- Clean tables after guests finish dining and set up for the next shift or large parties.
- Inform customers of daily specials.
- Explain menu items, including ingredients and cooking methods.
- Prepare tables for meals, including setting up linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Remove dishes and glasses for cleaning.
- Assist with reservations, to-go orders, and greet, seat, and thank guests.
- Perform food preparation duties such as making salads, appetizers, and cold dishes, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee.
- Escort customers to their tables.
- Audit all plates and orders before serving.
- Describe and recommend famous restaurant specialties to customers.
- Provide information about local areas, including giving directions.

Specifications (Qualifications, Experience, and Skills):
- Minimum high school academic qualification.
- Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position.
- Good talent, appearance, and presentation.
- Ability to engage with guests, describe and explain the menu, talk about specials, and upsell.
- High interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.
- Self-motivated and capable of motivating others.
- Leadership and multitasking skills.
- Time management proficiency.
