Job Description

Job Opening: Analyzer Engineer

A. Job Purpose:

Execute assigned projects related to Process On-line Analyzers, Laboratory Analyzers, Stack Emission Monitoring (PEMS/CEMS), and Portable/Area/Personal Gas Monitors. Ensure compliance with Company Standards, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.

B. Key Result Areas:

1. Resource Management:
- Provide guidance to designers and field supervisors.
- Check the progress of assigned projects to ensure completion within scheduled time and budget.

2. Quality Control & Assurance:
- Maintain integrity of engineering documentation.
- Carry out 3rd party audits of Stack Emission Monitoring Systems (PEMS/CEMS).

3. Cross Functional Activities:
- Provide Engineering inputs for planned process unit T&Is for analyzer projects.
- Participate in vendor evaluation and pre-qualification process.
- Review Engineering standards and Design Guidelines.

4. Project Management and Engineering:
- Directly manage and implement justifiable projects after obtaining Company approvals.
- Prepare detailed specifications and designs in accordance with industry codes and company standards.
- Procurement activities for analyzers in collaboration with the Procurement Department.
- Carry out projects in compliance with Chevron Project Development and Execution Process (CPDEP).

5. Engineering Support:
- Participate in Front End Engineering & Design of Engineering projects.
- Represent Analyzer Section in incident investigations.
- Provide Engineering support for analyzers in all Company operating areas.

6. Process Safety Management/Life Cycle Management:
- Participate in Management of Change (MOC) Review and HAZOP Studies.
- Ensure safe working and operating conditions in the plant.
- Manage obsolescence to replace analyzers promptly before the end of their life cycle.

7. New Technologies:
- Assist Senior Engineer in conducting field trials and implementation of new technologies.

8. Communications and Working Relationships:
- Communicate with Senior Engineer for seeking approvals and guidance.
- Interact with Engineers, support staff, and personnel from other Divisions/Departments/Sections.
- Liaise with Vendors, Contractors, 3rd party Auditors, and Consultants.

Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil refining, oil and gas production, and/or petrochemical industries in the field of Analyzers.
- Thorough knowledge of American and European design codes and standards.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
