Technical Sales Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Advise customers on the optimal use of products or services provided.
- Collaborate with design, production, engineering, or research and development departments to customize products to meet customer needs.
- Sell and consult on technologically and scientifically advanced products.
- Utilize technical skills to demonstrate product usefulness to potential customers.
- Memorize technical product specifications and stay updated on new company products and industry trends.
- Attend conferences, lectures, seminars, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Conduct market research and gather client feedback to improve existing products.
- Write reports and liaise with the production team on issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions.
- Simplify technical terms during product demonstrations and post-sales customer support.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with existing clients and meet with new clients to expand sales territories.
- Update orders and sales records, negotiate the best contract terms.
- Listen to customers’ needs and provide advice on the best products to buy.

Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar field.
- Sales experience is advantageous.
- Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, research, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills.
- Professional appearance.
- Valid driver’s license.
