Job Description: Translator Company: Oliver Wyman Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Fluency (reading, writing, speaking) in both Arabic and English is essential The Opportunity: Oliver Wyman Middle East is seeking a highly skilled bilingual Translator with more than 2 years of experience translating professional client materials between English and Arabic in a business environment, preferably in Management Consultancy or other professional services. The candidate should have a good understanding of culture and language localization in the region. This role is based in the Abu Dhabi office and offers the opportunity to work on various industries and build a career in professional translation support. Key Responsibilities: - Professionally translate between English and Arabic business and technical documents, including published marketing reports, generic marketing presentations, client proposals, client presentations, and other internal presentations and documents. - Liaise with clients to discuss unclear points, consult with subject matter experts, and project teams to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately. - Research legal, technical, and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation. - Use highly specialized translation software for efficiency and consistency. - Retain and develop knowledge of specialist areas of translation. - Adhere to industry quality standards to ensure that all completed work follows legal and ethical obligations. Personal Specification: - Highly organized, operates well within a team, as well as independently. - Professional, tactful, and able to engage with colleagues at all levels. - Keen to work in a fast-paced, dynamic client-services environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage one’s own time. - Flexible attitude, hardworking, and results-driven. - Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) and native in Arabic. Technical Skills/Qualification: - Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. - Educated to Graduate level (Degree in translation/experience in the field). Language Skills: - Fluent in English and Arabic, written, reading, and spoken.
