Job Description

Job Title: Logistics - Customer Service Representative

Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative at GAC Abu Dhabi, you will serve as the primary contact for coordinating between the Logistics Department personnel and customers. Your role involves managing active job files and potential jobs across various logistics products, including air and sea import/export, insurance, and warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

- Client Interaction: Handle enquiries and provide timely quotes to clients.
- Negotiation: Negotiate rates with clients and carriers effectively.
- Communication: Manage client communications regarding shipping schedules, pricing, documentation, loading requirements, and order confirmation.
- Coordination: Coordinate with shipment carriers accurately and maintain system databases.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments to secure new business opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with existing, lost, and new clients.
- Logistics Solutions: Identify and propose suitable logistics solutions for clients’ needs.
- RFQs and Tenders: Manage requests for quotations, tenders, and handle projects individually.
- Reporting: Ensure strong reporting for various internal and external reports.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

- Education: Graduate of business-related courses.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ extensive experience in a similar role.
- Work Ethic: Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Cultural Awareness: Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
