Job Description

Job Title: Sales Supervisor

Job Summary:
As a Sales Supervisor, reporting to the Modern Trade Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and supervising the modern trade sales team. Your responsibilities include account management, achieving sales targets, fostering strong relationships with modern trade partners, and implementing effective sales strategies. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive sales growth in the modern trade channel.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:
1. Supervise and lead the modern trade sales team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
2. Ensure daily field visits are conducted as per schedule, maintaining team compliance.
3. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment to achieve sales and customer service goals.

Modern Trade Account Management:
4. Develop and maintain relationships with modern trade partners, including key accounts and retailers.
5. Monitor the sales team's performance by assigned outlets, assessing value, sales fundamentals, and adherence to sales strategies.
6. Address the unique needs, challenges, and requirements of modern trade partners.

Sales Strategy Implementation:
7. Assist in implementing sales strategies and objectives set by the Modern Trade Manager.
8. Assess team performance according to KPIs, conduct regular team meetings, and develop action plans for performance improvement.
9. Contribute to strategizing and planning sales growth by customer to enhance overall sales performance.
10. Monitor and ensure compliance with sales targets, KPIs, and account management plans.

Sales Performance:
11. Monitor and analyze sales performance for modern trade accounts, including product performance, sales trends, and market dynamics.
12. Take proactive measures to achieve or exceed sales targets, maximizing revenue for the organization.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
13. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in modern trade channels.
14. Conduct frequent market visits to ensure best basic execution in the market for QNIE brands.
15. Utilize market insights to adapt sales strategies and gain a competitive edge.

Promotions and Marketing:
16. Collaborate with marketing teams to execute modern trade-specific promotional activities and marketing campaigns.
17. Communicate pricing changes and promotional details to the sales team and trade partners.

Inventory Management:
18. Work closely with inventory and logistics teams to ensure optimal product availability and inventory turnover in modern trade channels.
19. Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and reduce excess inventory.

Reporting and Documentation:
20. Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, account interactions, and market intelligence.
21. Prepare sales reports specific to modern trade, including account-specific analyses and recommendations for review with the Modern Trade Manager.

Training and Development:
22. Provide ongoing training and coaching to sales team members to enhance their product knowledge, selling skills, and customer relationship management.
23. Identify areas for improvement and implement training programs accordingly.

Compliance and Safety:
24. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations in modern trade activities.
25. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus).
- Proven experience in modern trade sales, account management, or related roles within the FMCG industry.
- 3–5 years of experience in the same capacity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in account management and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.
