Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager FP&A


1. Provide FP&A Finance Support:
- Offer FP&A finance support to accounting teams concerning productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.

2. Drive Consolidation and Modeling for 2024 Group Budget Process:
- Play a key role in driving consolidation, roll-up, and modeling for the 2024 Group budget process.

3. Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis:
- Conduct financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities.

4. Collaborate Across Departments:
- Collaborate with various departments and business lines to gather financial data, analyze trends, and create accurate forecasts and consolidation models.

5. Support Annual Budget and Periodic Forecasts:
- Support the preparation of a detailed annual budget and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

6. Month-end and Quarter-end Close Processes:
- Participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes, including variance analysis and financial reporting.

7. Identify Business Challenges and Propose Solutions:
- Identify and understand business challenges, proposing and creating solutions.

8. Partner with Finance Teams:
- Partner directly with the finance team and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.

9. Data Analysis and Subject Matter Expertise:
- Dive deeply into financial data, becoming a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.

10. Corporate Projects and Initiatives:
- Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization.

11. Create Insightful Presentations:
- Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.

12. Variance Analysis and Improvement Opportunities:
- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

13. Relationship Building and Communication:
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.

Requirements and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance (ACCA qualification preferred).
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience within an FP&A function at an international business or regional finance business.
- Experience developing financial reports and metrics.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects across an organization.
