ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN SERVICES

Job Title: Electrical Technician Services

Key Accountabilities:
1. Perform corrective, preventive, and routine electrical maintenance activities.
2. Check all equipment and tools periodically to ensure they are in good working condition.
3. Knowledge of LV and MV equipment (motors, transformers, generators, switchgear, cranes, power source, etc.).
4. Repair, maintain, and change electrical parts in various types of overhead cranes and Central Workshops machinery.
5. Keep up-to-date routine records of completed work, including spares and materials used.
6. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
7. Perform stress relieving procedures according to company standards.
8. Enforce safety and work performance standards and regulations.
9. Diagnose and rectify faults on electrical equipment and associated control gear.
10. Perform electrical installation work as assigned.
11. Keep routine records of work completed and complete logs for maintenance work performed.
12. Repair, maintain, and change electrical parts in various types of equipment.
13. Authorized to operate 415V motor testing panel.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, Quality standards, and procedures.

Training:
Provide on-the-job training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Toolbox:
Maintain all tools, safety gear, and equipment provided by the company in working condition. Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management:
Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards. Inform the Maintenance Supervisor if additional resources are required.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to identifying areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery, or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines. Participate in Emergency Response duties.

Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean and tidy work environment before, during, and after executing the job, following established standards of hygiene and housekeeping.

Reports:
Collect technical data, provide inputs for Section progress reports, and contribute to the preparation of Method statements and Near Miss reports.

Communications & Working Relationships:

Internal:
Routine contact with work associates and personnel of the same level in various Sections of the Central Workshops.

External:
Service order Contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Minimum Qualification:
Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field of electrical maintenance.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:
4 years of experience in maintenance technical services, preferably in electrical.

Professional Certifications:
As required by the Company.

Technical Competencies:
Good understanding of Quality Standard codes compliance and capable of resolving safety issues. Knowledge of approved methods, material, tools, occupational hazards, proper safety precautions required, and equipment utilized in electrical installation and maintenance.
