Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician Services “Valves”

Scope of Work:
Perform maintenance and overhauling activities for different types of valves inside the CWS facility or on-site for ADNOC Plants (JV and ASR), Offshore, and other non-industrial areas.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Carry out maintenance, overhaul, and repair work of different types of valves, including manual isolation valves, motor-operated valves, pneumatic actuated valves, and pressure safety valves.
2. Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with company standards, codes of practices, and safety requirements.
3. Diagnose and rectify faults on pneumatic and mechanical parts of the valves with the aid of test equipment such as test gauges, deadweight testers, manometers, precision pneumatic calibrators, temperature baths, etc.
4. Use a variety of Pneumatic, electrical, and hand tools for specific jobs. Able to identify and use various test and measurement equipment.
5. Support valves maintenance work related to Turnaround maintenances and planned/emergency Major equipment or plant shutdowns.
6. Familiar with different types of standard engineering hand tools and most specialized tools related to valves maintenance such as measuring tools and gauges, air-operated grinders, drilling equipment, etc., and ensure all tools are calibrated.
7. Arrange for the selection of general engineering materials and spare parts required for the job.
8. Receive work assignments with briefing and instruction from Supervisor/Senior Technicians.
9. Discuss and obtain requirements for materials and spare parts.
10. Notify Supervisor/Senior Technicians of any faults or abnormal conditions found while performing duties and request special equipment required.
11. Provide guidance and on-the-job training to the company’s developers/trainees and other technicians to improve work standards.
12. Ability to identify piping specs, gaskets, bolts and nuts, valves, etc., and able to carry out work on all different types of piping and tubing.
13. Operate simple Machine Tools such as grinding machines, drilling machines, impact wrenches, etc. Hands-on experience in hydro testing of valves, pipes, and vessels.
14. Able to take precision measurements using depth gauges, micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc., and able to work to very close tolerances.
15. Prepare sketches/brief reports such as piping, structures, alignment, finished dimensions, etc.

Training:
Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Toolbox:
Maintain all tools, safety gear, and equipment provided by the company safely and in working condition. Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management:
Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards. Inform the Maintenance Supervisor if additional resources are required.

Contribute to identifying areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery, or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines following international standards, best practices, and ADNOC Code of Practices. Participate in Emergency Response duties.

Housekeeping:
Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during, and after executing the job, following established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports:
Collect technical data, provide inputs for Section progress reports, and contribute to the preparation of Method statements and Near Miss reports.

Communications & Working Relationships:

Internal:
Daily contact with immediate work associates of other departments, contractors in giving and receiving technical information.

External:
Service order Contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Minimum Qualification:
Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field of mechanical maintenance.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:
4 years of experience in maintenance technical services preferably in mechanical.

Professional Certifications:
As required by the Company.

Technical Competencies:
Good understanding of Quality Standard codes compliance and capable of resolving safety issues. Knowledge of the approved methods, material, tools, occupational hazards, proper safety precautions required, and equipment utilized in mechanical maintenance.
