Job Description

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the gas distribution network within the designated area. Identify opportunities for network expansion and optimize existing infrastructure for enhanced efficiency.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of gas technicians, engineers, and support staff. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.

Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including gas supply, distribution, metering, and emergency response. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

Customer Relations: Foster positive relationships with customers, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly. Collaborate with customer service teams to enhance customer satisfaction.

Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet operational demands. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as necessary.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of the gas distribution system. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response protocols. Coordinate with emergency services and lead the team in responding to gas leaks, outages, and other emergencies.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, permits, licenses, and safety protocols related to gas operations. Stay updated with industry regulations and standards.

Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for operational activities. Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving measures where applicable.

Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on operational performance, including key metrics, challenges faced, and recommendations for improvements. Present findings to senior management.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction. Implement best practices and lead initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.


Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Additional certifications in gas operations or management are advantageous.

Experience: Extensive experience in gas operations, including management roles. Proven track record in leading teams, managing operations, and implementing safety protocols.

Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of gas distribution systems, equipment, and technologies. Familiarity with gas measurement, pressure regulation, and pipeline integrity.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to motivate, mentor, and guide a diverse team of professionals.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of liaising with internal teams, customers, regulatory authorities, and external partners effectively.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proactive in identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements. Openness to innovation and process improvements.

Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of local and national regulations governing gas distribution operations. Ability to ensure compliance and maintain necessary licenses and permits
