Position Title: Security Officer Roles &amp; Responsibilities: As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the property, personnel, and assets. Your duties include: - Reporting all incidents and escalating them to the immediate supervisor, ensuring follow-through until resolution. - Monitoring and managing the entrance onto the property for all personnel, restricting access to unauthorized individuals, and reporting any attempted breaches. - Managing and controlling access of vehicles onto the property, reporting any unauthorized attempts. - Issuing and collecting keys, as well as security passes, ensuring the safekeeping of any identification retained as deposits. - Completing visitors/contractors logbooks and verifying and filing Property Removal Authorization. - Controlling access and egress into specific areas identified as sensitive duty posts. - Monitoring for and diverting unregistered guests to reception, along with relevant front office colleagues. - Controlling traffic movement within the property and unauthorized parking to ensure compliance with designated areas. - Maintaining all related registers and logbooks, completing reports in GSIICS, and updating them as required. - Adopting crowd control measures whenever necessary and managing responsibilities within GSOM. - Proactively reporting any incidents or suspicious activities to the relevant supervisor and taking appropriate action. - Conducting full security and fire, life safety patrols of the property, recording and reporting any defects or irregularities. - Ensuring all lost and found property is handed in for recording and storage promptly. - Handing over pending duties with related information to the Supervisor at the end of each shift. - Enforcing all policies related to the specific posting and escalating incidents as required. - Conducting patrols at every post and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Security. - Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required by ExCom or the Director of Security. Skills &amp; Qualifications: - SIRA approved Security guard course and Security guard license. - High school certificate or equivalent. - Minimum 1-year experience in hospitality security. - Ability to communicate effectively with different individuals. - Knowledge of firefighting equipment and CCTV operation. - First aid trained with knowledge of handling emergency situations and evacuations. - Very good verbal and written communication skills in English. - Verbal and written communication skills in Arabic or other languages are preferred.
