Job Title: Finance & Business Support Manager

Role Overview:
Crowne Plaza, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking an experienced Finance & Business Support Manager. The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing the books, managing the needs of owners, auditors, and regulatory agencies, while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability. The role involves preparing financial analysis, budgets, and forecasts, managing accounts payable and receivable, overseeing staffing requirements, and maintaining relations with external contacts. The candidate is expected to have a strong background in finance, accounting, or auditing, along with leadership skills to manage a team of financial professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial analysis of hotel operations, including variance explanation and recommendations for achieving business goals.
- Develop and manage hotel and department budgets and financial forecasts.
- Reconcile all accounts on a monthly basis and oversee credit extension and collection of overdue accounts.
- Review rates and recommend rate strategy; participate in sales strategy meetings.
- Manage accounts payable to balance cash flow and reputation with suppliers.
- Oversee day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members.
- Educate and train team members in compliance with government and local laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain relations with external contacts, including owners, asset managers, regulatory agencies, etc.
- Respond promptly to all guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Audit and oversee the accuracy of all guest billing.
- Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems, ensuring ethical accounting practices.
- Distribute outlook and forecast information as a management tool for departments to identify cost savings.
- Review operating equipment stores to avoid unnecessary/excessive purchases.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is an advantage.
- Experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing.
- Proven track record of successful financial management and strategic planning.
- Ability to manage financial operations for a large organization.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team of financial professionals.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with a commercially focused approach, strong analytical and numerical skills.
