Job Description: Head of Modern Trade & Pharmacy - FMCG

Key Responsibilities / Objectives:

1. Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Analyze the market, its developments, and future trends.
- Develop strategies for sales across the UAE, focusing on modern trade and pharmacy channels.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, implement improvements, and build relationships with key distributors.

2. Distributor Management:
- Onboard and lead distributors in the UAE.
- Set weekly/monthly targets, oversee collections, and maintain strong relationships.
- Prepare and present regular reports on targets and regional development.

3. Sales and Business Growth:
- Drive business growth within the sector, targeting new opportunities.
- Set annual plans with high-level targets, focusing on acquiring, retaining, and expanding customer base.
- Optimize brand equity, visibility, and exposure in the market.

4. Negotiations and Partnerships:
- Negotiate with distributors and stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with existing and new accounts.
- Manage negotiations with brand owners to create successful business arrangements.

5. Leadership and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams (account management, sales, marketing) to ensure seamless operations.
- Actively manage and communicate the placement of brands and products.

Candidate Specification:

Experience & Exposure:
- 10+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably in FMCG/OTC.
- Graduate from a recognized university; MBA will be an added advantage.
- In-depth understanding of the UAE market with established relationships in key accounts.
- Proven track record in driving profitability and growth.
- Ability to influence internal and external senior stakeholders.
