Job Description
JOB Description
o Reviews the sales teams requirement for multiple client types/origins/destinations/terms & recommends the best possible options & quotations to fulfill orders.
o Provides shipping quote options.
o Supervises the logistics team.
o Manages all import & export shipments from/to multiples origins/destinations, from collection until delivery while constantly monitoring their status.
o Coordinates with clients/suppliers/warehouses/transporters/forwarders.
o Negotiates with forwarders for the best credit terms, shipping quotes & schedules to meet project deadlines.
o Meets with new forwarders to seek better shipping options.
o Searches & recommends options to manage shipments to multiple destinations where the company does not have an import license.
o Communicates with multiple certificate issuing authority for any requirements for shipping certificates e.g. KUCAS/SASO/SABER.
o Communicates with multiple testing authorities for testing & issuance of test certificates.
o Ensures wherever possible, the consolidation of orders for shipments for efficiency & cost saving.
o Maintains shipping logs in excel format for tracking of shipments & costs & record purposes. Prepares Import VAT Reports to be submitted to accounts.
o Prepares Export documents (Packing List), secures COO (Cert. of Origin) from Dubai Chamber & processes the attestation of document through MOFAIC.
o Prepares Import VAT Reports to be submitted to related companies (e.g. Bright Start/H&H Development etc.).
o Handles shipments for related companies (e.g. Bright Start/H&H Development etc.).
o Receives & reviews all invoices from forwarders.
o Identifies orders related to forwarder invoices & submits them to the related accounts departments for payments.
o Coordinates between forwarder & internal accounts departments to ensure that invoices are paid within the credit period.
o Coordinates regularly with the sales & purchasing teams to keep them updated for the status of the orders.
o Updates the warehouse team for all incoming shipments for delivery to multiple warehouses/sites.
o Coordinates with Insurance companies for any related claims.
o Reviews reports prepared by the warehouse team for insurance submittal. Complies with all Laws & Regulations. SKILL SET Required Furniture Fixture industry experience will be an added advantage.
o At least 3-5 years of experience in similar role.
o MS Office proficient.
o Strong Mathematical skills.
o Excellent communication & problem solving skills.
o Able to multitask efficiently.
o Proficiency in verbal & written English language.
Bachelor's Degree holder.
