Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with agile feature teams to design, develop, and deploy complex solutions within the TPF/ALCS environment.
- Drive the adoption of engineering practices, implementing lean and test-driven software development methodologies following Agile principles.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate high-level design, proof of concepts, and prototypes to validate ideas and assess solution viability.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve complex issues, presenting alternative solutions and new technologies for architectural review.
- Provide subject matter expertise on business domain, contribute to sprint/work design, and lead technology-specific community practices.
- Mentor and train Software Engineers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and design practices.
- Optimize the use of enterprise application platforms, tools, and libraries in alignment with approved technology architecture, and oversee corrective, adaptive, and preventative maintenance of products.

Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Extensive experience building and maintaining complex software solutions in an ALCS environment, utilizing Assembler (IBM HLASM), Job Control Language, REXX, ISO C, and Java for mainframe development.
- Proficiency in structured program development using SPM, TPF/DF calls for database handling, and creation/consumption of WAS-OLA services.
- Expertise in developing and supporting Airline Control System (ALCS), Departure Control Systems (DCS), Fare Quote Ticketing (FQT), and Reservations (RES) domains.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to mentor and lead teams, and familiarity with z/OS interfaces, IBM Tivoli System Automation, MQ Queue creation, and GDPS data center resiliency.
