Position: Valuations Executive/Manager - Oil and Gas

Job Description:

Purpose:
As a Valuations professional, you will play a key role in making intelligent, informed decisions for high-profile transactions within the Oil and Gas sector. Working with a diverse and talented team, you'll contribute to strategic planning, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and fair market value documentation. This role offers the opportunity to work on significant engagements, mentorship, and continuous learning within EY's global Valuations network.

Key Responsibilities:

Valuations and Modelling:
- Make technical contributions to valuation and modelling on client engagements and internal projects.
- Work on large Oil and Gas clients, gaining a thorough understanding of their businesses and markets.
- Perform research and analysis of the target's industry and quoted companies in the sector.
- Deal with day-to-day client queries and attend internal and external meetings related to assignments.
- Perform valuation calculations and analyses, draft presentations and reports, and present conclusions to the team.

- Deliver valuations on time and within budget.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business.
- 3 to 5 years of valuations work experience with a focus on Oil and Gas/Energy clients.
- Experience in managing valuation projects for M&A, Purchase Price Allocations, Impairment reviews, and Fair Valuations.
- Financial modelling skills, including building models from scratch and reviewing models for Energy businesses.
- Experience writing and owning reports/opinions for valuations in M&A and Financial Reporting.

Must-Haves:
- Hunger to grow and develop.
- Previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm.
- Experience working in a consulting environment.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with large clients.
- Achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA, CA, or another professional qualification.
