Job Description - ICSS Engineer (Instrumentation and Control Systems)

Key Accountabilities:

As an ICSS Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of Engineering Dossiers with a robust ICSS engineering definition.

Your responsibilities will include:

Engineering Dossier Management:

Ensure the delivery of Engineering Dossiers with a robust ICSS engineering definition.

Confirm that designs meet Clients' standards, project specifications, safety requirements, and Scope of Work (SOR).

Project Task Management:

Efficiently review project ICSS discipline documents.

Identify and realize potential derogations to standards.

Challenge designs to achieve an optimized and fit-for-purpose outcome.

Support project studies and meetings related to ICSS discipline.

Identify potential risks and scope changes, conducting impact assessments.

Activities:

Design Realization:

Oversee the development of ICSS design, including functional analysis, instrumentation control, safety functions, ESD system, SCADA System, F&G, and ICSS integration.

Coordinate with other disciplines and within the ICSS team for proper execution.

Promote technical optimization and cost savings, ensuring compliance with the project schedule and contracts.

Engineering Coordination:

Participate in equipment inspections at site/vendor premises.

Contribute to the identification and specification of LLIs.

Coordinate with weight control engineer and engineering team for weight monitoring and control.

Support Phases:

Assist in planning and preparation of ICSS discipline kick-off meetings with EPC Contractor.

Support procurement engineering, including TBEs and vendor documents review.

Support fabrication and construction engineering, reviewing engineering documents and assisting in punch list closure.

Optimization and Standardization:

Identify optimization/improvement in the design dossier for implementation in the early stage of detailed design.

Promote fit-for-purpose design to reduce costs and optimize planning.

Documentation and Communication:

Review project documents related to ICSS discipline.

Coordinate and issue project responses to contractor and vendor requests.

Identify potential deviations/derogations and assist in preparation of deviation packages.

Review final project documentation, including dossiers and as-built drawings.

Skills and Qualifications:

Qualification: Engineering degree in Instrument and Control Engineering.

Experience: 6-10 years of experience as ICSS Engineer in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry.

Technical Skills: Strong engineering knowledge of ICSS design, AVEVA products proficiency.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Language: Fluent in English.

Environment: Ability to work in a complex and multicultural project environment.
