Job Description - Mechanical Rotating Engineer

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

As a Mechanical Rotating Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to ensure the delivery of Engineering Dossiers with a robust Mechanical Rotating Engineering definition and fit-for-purpose design that aligns with safety, quality, and client standards. Key accountabilities include:

Engineering Dossier Oversight:

Ensure Engineering Dossiers meet safety and design standards, allowing safe procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, and operation.

Project Task Management:

Efficiently review project mechanical rotating discipline documents, address potential derogations to standards, and challenge designs for optimization.

Manage assigned project tasks in line with the execution plan and contractual requirements.

Design Compliance and Support:

Ensure compliance with CLIENT Standard, project specifications, and procedures.

Support project studies and meetings related to the Mechanical Rotating discipline.

Risk Identification and Assessment:

Identify potential risks and scope changes, conduct initial impact assessments, and provide detailed information to the Mechanical Rotating Engineering Lead.

Scope of Activities:

Oversee greenfield and brownfield activities, including new developments, integration works, installation of subsea pipelines, and debottlenecking of existing functions.

Review and comment on engineering and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with design dossier, SOR, Company specifications, etc.

Major Projects and Complex Interfaces:

Engage in major projects involving the development of offshore platforms, integration with existing facilities, and installation of subsea pipelines.

Navigate complex interfaces with other entities of the client across multiple international sites.

Engineering Development and Worldwide Missions:

Supervise engineering development at CTR premises and fabrication yards of the Contractor.

Possibility of multiple worldwide missions or relocations to follow-up engineering development with various contractors.

Skills and Qualifications:

Qualification: Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 5-7 years’ experience as a Rotating Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry.

Technical Skills: Experience in projects involving gas turbines and compressors. Familiarity with Total general specifications is a plus, along with knowledge of relevant codes and standards.

Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills.

Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
