Job Title: Optometrist

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services to patients. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting eye exams, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective eyewear or treatment plans as necessary. Additionally, they will evaluate eye health, detect signs of disease or conditions, and refer patients to specialists when needed. The Optometrist will maintain accurate patient records and stay updated on the latest developments in optometry practices and technologies.

Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual function and overall eye health.
- Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe corrective lenses or vision therapy as appropriate.
- Detect and diagnose eye diseases, such as glaucoma or cataracts, and refer patients to specialists for further evaluation and treatment.
- Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other vision aids.
- Monitor and manage patient care, including follow-up appointments and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and prevention of eye diseases.
- Utilize advanced optometry equipment to conduct various diagnostic tests.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and participate in continuing education to maintain professional competence.

Requirements:

- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid licensure as an Optometrist in the state.
- Strong knowledge of optometric principles, practices, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent clinical skills and ability to analyze complex eye conditions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and colleagues.
