Job Description: Supply Chain Officer (Agri Commodities)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Officer with expertise in Agri Commodities for a position based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Contract Management: Overseeing the implementation of contracts for the purchase and sale of vegetable oils and grain crops.


Contract Negotiation: Preparing, negotiating, and signing contracts, specifications, additional agreements, and special contracts under optimal conditions for the company.


Client Base Management: Adding new counterparties to the Company's Client base within the framework of contract execution.


Documentation for Shipments: Organizing the production of necessary documentation for goods shipments based on Incoterms terms.


Reporting: Preparing and submitting reporting forms to EDMS in a timely manner.


Supply Chain Management: Managing international supply chains of bulk and liquid agricultural commodities using various modes of transportation and proposing solutions to mitigate risks.


Shipping Documents: Organizing the preparation, coordination, and release of shipping document packages within the contract framework.


Letters of Credit: Providing documentary preparation for working with letters of credit, including opening, processing, and approval.


Payment Processing: Organizing and supervising payments from buyers and to buyers within the framework of contract execution.


Documentation Management: Organizing the release and delivery of contract documentation required for the company's accounting department.


Payment Control: Controlling payments to parties involved in contract execution.


Claims Handling: Handling documentary preparation and registration for potential claims, such as quality, quantity, insurance, and disagreements.


Chartering Contracts: Managing contract execution for vessel chartering, including checking accounts and calculating demurrage.


Data Analysis: Archiving data on executed contracts and preparing necessary analytical tables.


Statistical Data: Collecting and analyzing statistical data on contracts.


Committee Materials: Preparing and providing materials for committees.


Interdepartmental Collaboration: Interacting with other company departments on issues related to your professional activities.


Special Projects: Participating in special projects and tasks as required.


Compliance: Observing labor and production discipline, labor safety rules, internal labor regulations, and fire safety rules.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
MUST HAVE experience in international trade operations
MUST HAVE experience in the Agricultural Industry, including both Wet and Dry Agri commodities
Expertise in international trades and document management
Close liaison with Traders
Team player with a strong work ethic
Excellent English language skills
Knowledge of resolutions, regulations, orders, and other regulatory documents related to the company's operations
Familiarity with the procedure for concluding and executing foreign trade contracts for the purchase and sale of goods
Very good knowledge of Incoterms and understanding of standard contracts
Familiarity with Uniform Rules for Collection and Letter of Credit
