Overview of the Role:

We are searching for a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our finance team in the role of Credit Control Supervisor. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the credit control function, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding receivables, and fostering positive relationships with clients.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Credit Management:
- Assess and review customer credit applications, setting appropriate credit limits.
- Monitor and evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.

Collections:
- Supervise the collection team to ensure the timely recovery of outstanding debts.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with customers to resolve payment issues.
- Implement collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and bad debts.

Reporting:
- Generate and analyze aging reports, providing insights into the company's receivables.
- Prepare regular reports for management on the status of outstanding receivables.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Customer Relations & Balance Confirmation:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate the resolution of payment issues.
- Manage the process of confirming customer balances on a regular basis.
- Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to balance confirmation.
- Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date account statements.

Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in credit control procedures.
- Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the credit control function.
Education & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Diplomacy: Ability to diplomatically handle sensitive customer situations.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex credit-related issues.
