Job Description:

As a Baker at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, you play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the department, maintaining high standards of bakeries preparation, and contributing to the overall culinary excellence of the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Standards Maintenance:
- Uphold the standards of performance outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual, ensuring adherence to policies.

2. Guest Satisfaction:
- Ensure guest needs and expectations are met by consistently delivering a high standard of bakeries preparation and presentation.

3. Outlet Identity:
- Assist in establishing the identity of the outlet by providing the required standards of bakeries presentation, following specified recipe standards.

4. Recipe Adherence:
- Be aware of the method of preparation and standard recipes for all menu items in the bakery, ensuring strict adherence to procedures.

5. Hygiene and Cleanliness:
- Maintain all work areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in collaboration with the Hygiene Officer.

6. Coordination:
- Coordinate with colleagues as needed to address operational challenges and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

7. Equipment Operation:
- Familiarize yourself with the operational procedures of all bakery equipment, ensuring correct usage for maximum efficiency and personal safety.

8. Food Safety and Hygiene:
- Assist in implementing food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP and other Municipality regulations. Collaborate closely with the Hygiene Officer for compliance.

9. Training and Development:
- Participate in regular meetings, briefings, and training programs to enhance personal and departmental standards.

10. Safety Rules and Emergency Procedures:
- Understand and abide by all safety rules, emergency procedures, and fire prevention regulations.

11. Adaptability:
- Be entirely flexible and ready to rotate within different outlets of the Kitchen Department as needed.

12. Chef's Support:
- Assist the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine in the implementation of various culinary initiatives and carry out any reasonable duties assigned.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Baker.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and food safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
