Job Description
Job Title: Head Chef
Job Responsibilities :
1. Culinary Leadership:
- Lead in cooking and preparing meals, ensuring food quality and overseeing cooking techniques.
2. Menu Development:
- Assist in designing and developing food and drink menus, ensuring alignment with budgets.
3. Quality Standards:
- Ensure the kitchen meets high standards of quality, completing food hygiene documents to comply with regulations.
4. Equipment Supervision:
- Supervise and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment regularly to maintain cleanliness and proper operation.
5. Food Presentation:
- Ensure that food products, presentation, and plating are of the highest quality and served in a timely manner.
6. Supply Chain Management:
- Lead in ordering supplies, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory, and controlling stock.
7. Documentation:
- Ensure that all culinary operations manuals are prepared and updated, assuring adherence to standards.
8. Food Safety Standards:
- Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking, and food rotation, ensuring compliance with food service sanitation standards.
Job Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of cuisines, techniques, inventory management, menu and recipe development.
- Food and computer-savvy with an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management.
- Familiarity with industry best practices.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
