Social Studies Teacher Secondary (Arabic Speaker)

Job Title: Social Studies Teacher (Secondary Section - Native Arabic Speaker)

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Social Studies Teacher for the Secondary Section of a reputable school in Al Ain, following the American Curriculum. This role is ADEK approved.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet one of the following qualification criteria:

Bachelor's degree in Social Studies (QFE7).
Bachelor's Degree in a related subject + Valid Teaching License in Early Childhood/Primary Education (QFE6).
Bachelor's Degree in another subject + Valid Teaching License (QFE6) + 1 year of teaching experience in the subject.

Responsibilities:

The Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for:

Planning and preparing courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons tailored to the needs, interests, experience, and knowledge of the students.
Teaching, supervising, and setting tasks for students.
Marking and assessing students' work, recording their development, progress, and attainment.
Maintaining discipline, order, and respect among students, both inside and outside the classroom.
Building and maintaining cooperative relationships with parents and communicating with them about students' learning and progress.
Creating an attractive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
Complying with school policies, guidelines, and participating in policy and aim reviews.
Providing assessments, reports, and references related to students' development and learning.
Evaluating and reviewing teaching methods, materials, and schemes of work.
Staying up-to-date with current educational practices and professional development.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with other staff members and contributing to the school's public relations.
