Job Description

Job Title: Production Controller

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain production schedules and plans to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
2. Coordinate with production teams to ensure that production targets are met according to schedule and quality standards.
3. Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks or delays, and take proactive measures to address issues and optimize resource utilization.
4. Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components needed for production.
5. Review and analyze production data, including production reports, inventory levels, and capacity utilization, to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
6. Implement and enforce production policies, procedures, and standards to maintain quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Communicate production schedules, priorities, and changes to relevant stakeholders, including production teams, management, and customers.
8. Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to schedule preventive maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
9. Participate in cross-functional teams and meetings to address production-related issues, develop solutions, and implement process improvements.
10. Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including production orders, work instructions, and performance metrics.
11. Train and mentor production staff on production control processes, procedures, and best practices.
12. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in production planning and control, and recommend initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field. APICS certification is a plus.
- 10 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or control in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software (e.g., ERP systems, MRP software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
