Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Jordan River Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation and calculating costs of food and beverage & Handicrafts items, as well as overseeing financial records and ensuring compliance with finance standards. If you have 8-10 years of experience in the F&B industry, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field, and strong English and Arabic language skills, we encourage you to apply.

Core Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
1. Monitor and review all capital and operational expenditure within the approved budget.
2. Follow up on financial records of subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and security.
3. Assist in the annual financial audit process, ensuring compliance with finance standards.
4. Forecast and prepare the annual budget, tracking revenues and expenses.
5. Provide financial support to other departments in developing financial strategies.

Cost Analysis and Reporting:
1. Prepare and analyze food and beverage and Handicrafts costs on a monthly basis.
2. Coordinate monthly inventories count and establish a database for inventory stock.
3. Establish and maintain a cost allocation transfer system for supplies to various departments.
4. Organize stock take and monthly closing procedures, prepare journals, and check invoices.
5. Ensure proper storage and issuance of all items, and review daily reports for discrepancies.
6. Prepare cost/profit reports for the Kitchen, Cafe, Handicrafts, IKEA & Restaurant.

Data Collection and Analysis:
1. Construct data accumulation systems for a cost accounting system.
2. Create and review controls for data accumulation to ensure reporting systems.
3. Coordinate physical inventory counts and investigate variances.
4. Analyze complex financial data and interpret information for decision-making.
5. Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses and report on breakeven points and margins.
6. Perform cost accumulation tasks as a member of the target costing group.

Financial Management:
1. Ensure timely payment of debtors and invoicing of creditors.
2. Respond to financial inquiries in a timely manner and provide technical expertise.
3. Maintain collaborative relationships with key management personnel and stay updated on trends and regulatory guidelines.

Managerial Responsibilities:
1. Manage the finance and accounting team, evaluate performance, and provide feedback.
2. Review assignment of staff to cross-functional teams and identify training and development needs.

Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- CMA/CPA certificate is preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience.
- Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
- Solid experience in F&B industry in a similar position.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the end of month/year closing process.
