Job Description:

Are you passionate about identifying and responding to project development opportunities that make a positive impact? We are seeking a skilled Project Development Specialist to join our team at Jordan River Foundation. If you have 5-7 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is an asset), and excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, we invite you to apply.

Core Responsibilities:

Opportunity Identification:
1. Identify potential project development opportunities through networking, research, and analysis.
2. Assess opportunities based on organizational needs, capacity, and vision.

Proposal Development:
1. Contribute significantly to the entire proposal development process, coordinating with various departments and team members.
2. Design interventions and programs in collaboration with technical teams.
3. Author all components of proposals, including objectives, outcomes, activities, context analysis, implementation approach, plan, executive summaries, capacity statements, and past experience.
4. Contribute to budget development and narrative in collaboration with budgeting and technical teams.
5. Conduct research and contribute to drafting research reports, especially in fields like community empowerment, livelihood, child protection, and women and youth empowerment.
6. Prepare and conduct presentations highlighting the organization’s capacity, experience, and proposed project details.

Institutional Systems and Coordination:
1. Create institutional systems for forecasting upcoming business opportunities and develop Business Opportunity Plans at country and regional levels.
2. Ensure the development of templates and tools for proposal development.
3. Actively coordinate and participate in planning/status meetings to ensure adherence to good proposal management practices.

Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- 5–7 years of experience.
- Knowledge of the international development donor landscape.
- Proven track record of developing winning funding proposals.
- Extensive knowledge of proposal and donor funding requirements.
- Strong project management techniques and tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
